3+ years of hands-on experience developing production systems using Laravel (v8+) and PHP 8+
Strong foundation in OOP, SOLID principles, and common design patterns (Repository, Strategy, Specification, DTOs)
Deep expertise in RESTful API design and implementation — including API resources, form requests, policies, rate limiting, and throttling
Advanced skills in PostgreSQL or MySQL (schema design, migrations, indexing, query optimization, transactions)
Experience with queues and events — Jobs, Events/Listeners, Redis, RabbitMQ; experience with Horizon is a plus
Strong caching and performance optimization skills using Redis, Eloquent eager loading, and efficient pagination
Proficiency in testing with PHPUnit or Pest — feature tests, mocking, factories, seeders, and CI pipelines
Solid understanding of application security — Auth (Sanctum/Passport), CSRF, XSS/SQLi prevention, and secure file handling
Knowledge of API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI/Postman)
Adherence to PSR standards and experience with code quality tools (PHP-CS-Fixer, PHPStan, Psalm)
Proficiency in Git workflows (branching, PRs, code reviews)
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Experience with Laravel Octane, Swoole, or RoadRunner
Exposure to GraphQL (Lighthouse)
Working knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB)
Familiarity with microservices architecture and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Experience with Node.js, NestJS, or TypeORM for cross-team collaboration
Practical knowledge of Docker, Linux, and CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to frontend frameworks (Vue.js, React, etc.)
Experience with error monitoring tools (Telescope, Sentry, Bugsnag)
Analyze business and technical requirements to design efficient, scalable backend solutions
Develop and maintain backend systems using Laravel and related technologies
Design and optimize multi-tenant and microservices-based architectures
Build and fine-tune complex queries for analytics and reports
Implement clean, DDD-friendly architectures using repositories, value objects, and service patterns
Design and optimize database schemas, ensure indexing, and eliminate N+1 queries
Implement background processing, scheduled jobs, and webhook handling with robust retry logic
Write automated tests (unit and feature) and enforce code quality via CI pipelines
Integrate third-party services (payments, SMS, email, maps) with secure error handling
Perform code reviews, ensure adherence to best practices, and mentor peers
Collaborate with Product, Frontend, and QA teams to scope, estimate, and deliver features
Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to evolving KuiperZ’s backend architecture
